Privacy Policy

Worldwide Wallball Federation (“WWWF”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a sport federation platform operated by Green Candor Media. This policy explains what information we collect from you when you use worldwidewallballfederation.com and our affiliated subdomains, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. When you build a player profile, we store the details you enter — display name, tagline, home park, achievements, personalization selections, and any pictures you upload.

Information from YouTube

If you connect your YouTube channel through our “connect-once” flow, we ask Google for read-only access to your YouTube account so we can identify your channel. We use this to record your channel identifier and public handle, which lets us embed your live broadcasts on your player profile and on federation surfaces without you re-entering the details each time.

We only request the youtube.readonly permission scope. We do not modify, delete, upload, or comment on your videos, and we do not access analytics or private playlists. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Automatically collected information

When you visit the site we automatically receive standard technical information from your browser (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referrer). Our hosting provider processes this in ordinary server logs for security and performance. We use authentication cookies to keep you signed in across our subdomains — those cookies expire and can be cleared through your browser settings.

2. How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in across the site.
  • To render your player profile and tournament results on public federation surfaces (subject to the visibility choices you make in your profile).
  • To display your live broadcasts on WWWF pages when your connected channel goes live.
  • To operate features you request — tournament brackets, sanctioning workflows, referee tools, ratings.
  • To communicate with you about account activity, security, and service updates.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use of information received from Google APIs — including any data obtained through the YouTube Data API — adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically: we use the channel identity information we receive from your YouTube connection only to provide the features described above (embedding your live broadcasts on your WWWF profile and federation surfaces). We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to provide these features, comply with law, or protect users; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, when required by law, or for narrow security purposes.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With service providers who operate our infrastructure — our authentication and database provider (Supabase), our hosting provider (Vercel), and Google (for sign-in). These providers act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
  • With third-party embeds you interact with. If you play a YouTube video embedded on our site, YouTube receives the request and applies its own privacy policy to that interaction.
  • In response to lawful requests from public authorities, to comply with law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and give you the choice to delete your information before the transfer.

5. Public information

Your player profile is public by default — anyone visiting the site can view your display name, tagline, home park, achievements, style tags, and match history. You can adjust the personalization sections of your profile at any time. If you delete your account, your public profile is removed.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active systems; some records may be retained for a limited period in backups or where required by law.

If you disconnect your YouTube channel from our connect-once flow, we delete the channel identifier and handle we stored.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information: encrypted transport (HTTPS everywhere), encrypted storage at our database layer, scoped access controls, and rotation of sensitive credentials. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and appropriate authorities as required by law.

8. Children

Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the service or by email.
